So you want to know a little more about me? Understandable, I would too if I was going to see a counselor. In fact, I believe that it is a wise decision to check out the person you are looking to help you with your therapy needs. You are going to want to know if they are someone you can connect with. So here is a little about me.

Professional
I am professional counselor in the state of Michigan (LLPC) and enjoy working with couples, singles, and adolescents to achieve their mental and emotional health goals. I work with the team at Alliance Counseling Group as a therapist. I hold degrees in architecture, construction management, counseling. I know what you are thinking, what do those careers have in common? More than you think…

Personal
I am the father of five children, and husband to one incredible wife. I grew up in the Grand Rapids area and lived in the metro Detroit area for 10 years after college. In addition to counseling I am a professor at Ferris State University.
We live in West Michigan and attend Resurrection Life Church. My wife and I used to ride motorcycles until we had too many kids, but looking forward to riding again once they are grown. I like 80’s and 90’s Nintendo games, music, technology, apple and IBM computers, counseling, motorcycles, and keeping my wife and kids on their toes with humor. I blog about counseling (translation: life) and have a lot to learn, and whole life in front of me to learn it.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me, I look forward to learning about you if we get the chance to meet.
